When a lone sculpture graces the entrance of one of Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre’s cavernous halls, unassumingly present as Melbourne Art Fair punters stream past, there is a risk it will be overlooked, drowned out by the commotion. There is also the faint, hopeful possibility that among all these punters hunting for art, there is a hunger for the strange, the interesting, or — at the very least — a sculpture that makes them stop and linger a little while.
