Short-Tempered Glass: Claire Lambe’s Part Interior, Part Object, Part Feeling
Claire Lambe encased her dining table in a crystal-like sculpture for the duration of an exhibition. What appears elegant and transparent gradually takes on the character of a protective shell.

Part Feeling centres on a crystalline encasement resembling an ethnographic vitrine with variegated heights and sections. Remarkably, it lacks a supporting frame. Plexiglass panels instead sit directly on the ground, pinned together by a series of bronze-cast clamps that distribute the weight laterally. Despite its angularity, the formation’s minimal placement directs a centripetal movement of visitors around the space.
