Instead, it holds a continuous field in which attention itself begins to change. “Soliton” is a term used in mathematics and physics to describe a self-reinforcing wave whose stability depends on its consistent velocity and enduring form. Picture a wave of water travelling through the ocean, maintaining its perfect rise-and-fall curve on the surface even as the sea floor dips into trenches or rises into underwater mountains. This is the soliton: a form that persists.
